PB Fridays keep going strong! Even with several silly mistakes and a few deaths, I set a new personal best in Donald Duck no Mahou no Boushi with a more than 3 and a half minute improvement! I’m feeling more and more confident about my Retrothon run! Sub 23 is the new goal.
Digidiced released the digital port of Stefan Feld’s masterpiece Castles of Burgundy this week. Castles of Burgundy is one of my favorite board games, so I was shocked when the app received a lot of negative flak and reviews on iOS, Android, and even Steam. I’ve enjoyed the more than 4 hours played across all 3 AI settings. I don’t understand the hate. Check out the Let’s Play against the hardest AIs and see for yourself.
Castles of Burgundy looks like a stream staple! If you want to learn how to play, the in game tutorial is broken up into 3 easy to understand sections:
Digidiced also has a port of Uwe Rosenburg’s Indian Summer. I have not played this one but it is part of Uwe’s tile laying trilogy of games along with Patchwork and Cottage Garden. I’m looking forward to learning how to play!
I also took some time and updated the stream layout. Check it out!
Digital board games are on the rise, with more and more excellent ports of excellent games being released. 2014’s Kennerspiel des Jahres winner Istanbul was ported over by Mobo Studios and Acram Digital. Istanbul happily sits on my game shelf and now in my Steam library. I can’t wait to try it on stream!
Be on the lookout for Indian Summer and Istanbul on
